Basics
The production version of the new Scorpion IV was launched in January at Autosport International 2005, the UK's premier motor-sport and sports car show. The S IV is scheduled to feature in leading UK motoring magazines and TV programmes during 2005. Deliveries will commence in March 2005, following the completion of the final testing programme.

The Scorpion IV features a lightweight, but super-stiff space-frame chassis onto which is bonded a composite bodyshell. The result is an exceptionally rigid structure; the platform for the S IV's trademark supple and well controlled ride, precise handling and exceptional roadholding abilities.

The front suspension is a development of the technology employed in the acclaimed Scoprpion III, double wishbones in oval tubing with inboard coil springs over bespoke Harvey-Bailley dampers. At the rear, long, super-stiff longditudinal links give superb handling and camber control without compromising the vehicle's distinctive styling.

The final production version of the new S IV is powered by the Audi
1.8 litre, 4-cylinder, 5-valve motor with its slick, 6-speed Getrag transmission.
The Audi engine, using the standard turbo, produces 225 - 265bhp, depending on the state of tune.
